2nd in the nation NOT BAD!!!

Wow, this past week was so much fun. Days were filled with volleyball, volleyball, volleyball, and more volleyball. I did put into the days a cup of mint/chocolate dippin dots, and pretzels and cheese as well, but most of all volleyball. Jordans Molten teamed played so well. They won all of their matches on the first day...
All of their matches on the second day... Check out the triple block!!!

2 our of 3 matches on the their 3rd day...

And then we went into the final day.
Exciting, exciting, exciting.
We just kept winning, and winning, it was so much fun.

We would watch the other teams in between our games and I would think, wow there is no way we are going to beat that team, they are simply too strong.

And yet, each time we would pull together and fight fight fight. It was great.
Here is Aunt Cina in between games on the final day. It was freezing in the big gym!!!

Herb was the best helper during warm ups

Jordan played with everything that he had and it was so much fun to watch him.
I hated that this would be the last time we would be at games with him (for a few years at least)
so we counted our blessings that we could go to Atlanta and watch him shine one more time.

He is an awesome player. He amazes us every time he plays. Way to go Jordan

We made it to the finals, and won the first game, but lost the next 2 games. A pinch frustrating, but farther then Molten has ever gone before. 2nd place in all of the nation, not bad for sure.

Go figure that when I am clear across the nation in Georgia I find my best growing up friend Elmer Heap. He lives in San Diego and his son was there playing for the Seaside team. What a koinkidink!!! Elmer is such a great man, they have 5 wonderful children and it was so good to see him again. I love how years and years go by, but friendships never change.

Here we are after the final match waiting for the medal ceremony
Jordan was so happy that Aunt Cina (Herb's sister) could join us there. We had such a great time together. Thanks Cina for making the effort to support Jordan. He love's you

Finally they are up on the award stand. It was so exciting.

Here they are, the 2nd best team in the nation! Who knows maybe one day some of them will be famous and we can say we knew you when.
We just had a wonderful week with this wonderful kid. We are very proud of him as he grows and makes great choices. Thanks Jordan for the wonderful ride...
We Love You
