Boots Magillicuddy :)

Well this adorable boot has been my friend day in and day out for the past 2 weeks. I know you say only 2 weeks, most people have them on a lot longer, but see I am magical and heal in short amounts of time so for me 2 weeks was perfect!!! I really don't know what I did, no swelling or bruising, just pain for about 9 days straight, so I finally cowgirled up and went to the doctor. Something about an injured ligament....Fun times so then I was introduced to the boot. It really did feel so much better in the boot, but man that thing does not have air conditioning and I tried but could not find a way to cute it up!!!
Today was my follow up appointment and yes siree bob, I got the boot .............. removed!!!
I am so happy. No more boot. So now maybe I will sleep again, and not have to hop beds, or couches as to not disturb my sweet husband.
The top of my foot has some numbness, but hopefully while I exercise my ankle the nerve will also heal and the numbness will go away. In 3 weeks I will go back and hopefully get a clean bill of health. As for the boot, it now lives in the closet
in the garage.
It was sure fun knowing you boots magillicuddy :)

A Wonderful Day Trip

Yesterday Herb and I got to go on a wonderful day trip. We drove up to Prescott and check on the old house there and a jobsite. The weather was really nice and it is becoming our way to spend a few hours just the two of us. No worries. We also thought we would take the back road to Flagstaff so that Herb could meet his new grandson.
That backroad was really a nice drive and he was so happy to meet Calin.
Anna sure enjoyed Papa coming too. Christopher and Papa and Anna all went swimming at the pool at their apartment complex. Rachel and Calin and I got to sit in a beautiful breeze and watch. Anna is a little daredevil and thinks that water is the best thing ever.
They threw her back and forth and back and forth and after a couple of times they did not have to count for her she was hardly turned around and she would start counting 1.....2......3.....go. It was really a fun little game.
She was really trying to learn to kick, but we do have to remember that she is only 2 and that concept will come with time. She just had a blast in the pool with her Daddy and her Papa.
Of course I had a wonderful time loving on this adorable little baby boy. He is changing already.
I am always amazed how much they change, especially when we live here and they are there. It is going to happen every time we see him. He is such a happy content little one. I am sure that he has a voice of his own, but he was having a really peaceful day. I think he liked the breeze and the beautiful overcast day as much as we did.
Thanks for the wonderful day trip honey, it was so great.
You can take me on those anytime you want.
Keep smiling everyone!!! :)
Life is wonderful if you choose for it to be.

Are they cute or what????

I totally lost these pictures the other day when I was posting,
but today I found them. So enjoy!!! We feel so blessed to be grandparents to these 3 special little people.
They are full of energy and darlingness that cannot be measured.
They make our days so much brighter.
Thanks kids for giving us such little blessings.
I love these pictures of Anna and Calin.
Click on the pictures so you can really see the expressions.
I loved that when Anna put her hand out to touch Calin
for the first time, he reached up and wrapped his hand
around her finger. Amazing the bond that happened.
I think they were really happy to see each other again.
What a darling little family. None of them seem please at all!!!
Hope you all are having a wonderful day,
don't forget to smile :)

Such a fun adventure.....

First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQUE GIRL. Hope your day is the best ever. We love you and we miss you so much.
Last Tuesday morning Stephanie and Lexee and I headed up to Flagstaff to kidnap Anna for the night and have a slumber party before this amazing child came into the world. He is so precious. Everything went well with the birth and they are now home and so happy to be there to start life with this adorable baby brother. Check out the top right picture. He is signing mother. I think his dad has an amazing son for him to already know sign language!!!
When we took Anna to see her brother we wondered how she would react. When her grandma put him in her arms little Calin stuck his tongue out at Anna and so she decided to copy him and stick hers out at him. We kept watching them and they did this back and forth for quite a while.
It was so cute such a funny bonding moment.....

We fell in love with this little boy so fast. I am still so amazed how the Lord provides so much room in our hearts to love every single little one that comes into our families. I love that so much. Being a grandma is the best ever.....
Auntie Nie Nie and cousin Lexee were so excited to be able to be there as well.
It really was such a great day.
When Stephanie and Lexee and I arrived in Flagstaff the day before we checked into the hotel before going to pick up Anna. There was this small balcony and it was the perfect size. I thought that it would be a wonderful little play area for the girls. Thinking that it would keep them caged in and out of mischief!!!! "Ha Ha Grandma" said Lexee as she figured her way through the bars. She is such a monkey, just like her daddy. That's the way we like them. She had such a great time on her little SAFE!!! Playground.
Stephanie and I really wanted to do this darling photo shoot of these adorable little girls, WELL that did not really work out. Neither one of them wanted to sit still or pose or do anything for pictures......SO we decided to let them just play and jump on the beds and climb in and out of the bathtub and play in the sink and do everything they never really will get to do. They had more fun and really who needs perfect pictures these are the greatest.
Down the hall and around the corner was this big staircase. The perfect playground if you ask me. The would take off down the hall and then head up and down those stairs like no other. They had such a blast. I love free ways to make kids happy.
At the end of the day we did not want to leave our little paradise.
Thanks Stephanie for coming with me it was a blast.
And Thank you so much Christopher and Rachel
for giving us a beautiful baby boy.
I love these kiddos :)

Ouch!!!!!

Evidently at some point this week Jordan got bitten by a centipede....I know I can't stand that thought, but he said it was huge. This is a small one compared to the one he found in his bed. He said he only felt a bite not a sting so we are hoping that the poison did not get to far into his system. He was able to fall back asleep, but everything made him antsy for sure.
This is his zone at the CCM (MTC) in the Dominican Republic

Here he is with Nellie, the first person he baptized, and her friends and family.
Love the coconuts, he cracks me up!!!
He stole a ride on the John Deer at the Temple. He use to mow his Gma and Gpa's big yard with a red mower, so he was showing them what a REAL mower was like!!!
He really enjoyed being able to go to the Temple while he was in the CCM, and he really misses that now that he is out in the field, but he knows he will get there before long.
There is not doubt in my mind that he got in this bush LONG BEFORE he realized about all of the bugs in this wonderful country he gets to live in. This kid just makes me smile.
Thanks for all of the letters and support sent his way. He really does enjoy every word of it and he really does feel our prayers. Keep on praying.

A Fun Visit....

My Aunt Bonnie came to visit this past week. We had a wonderful time. Really just hanging out most of the time which was filled with old stories and tons of laughter. With her she brought some great pictures from the past. So much fun to look at and get to see my mom and her as little ones and teenagers and my ancestors. I love old pictures. So I picked a few to share. I love these.
Left: Aunt Bonnie, My Grandma Brown, My Grandpa Brown, and my Mom
I love how they use to hand color these pictures and all of them are so great.
On the left is my mom and aunt bonnie when they were little, isn't my moms smile so amazing. She still has that wonderful smile. Then on the right is them again on Easter Sunday as young adults. My grandma made their suits. My moms was all velvet and my aunts had a velvet collar and velvet cuffs. My grandmother was an amazing seemstress. I loved spending hours at her home (which was next door) sewing and sewing with her. I only wish I had a pinch of her talent. But at least I got my love for sewing and get to keep working on the talent part.
These are some of our pictures with Aunt Bonnies children. See if you can pick me out!!!!
What adorable kids.
I have such wonderful memories with my Flynn cousins. We had a great time growing up. Memories that will last a lifetime.
Thanks Aunt Bonnie for the visit and for sharing these wonderful pictures.
